galleryseoul은 국내외 탑 갤러러들을 대상으로 기획된 아시아 최초의 프리미엄아트페어로서 미술을 중심으로 음악, 와인, 강좌 등 부대 프로그램이 어우러지는 컬쳐 이벤트 입니다. 2011년 론칭된 galleryseoul11은 글로벌 럭셔리 라이프스타일 그룹 퀸터센셜리(Quintessentially)와 중앙일보 및 THE RAUM이 공동 주최하였으며, 국내 콜렉터 및 미술애호가들을 대상으로 엄선된 작품을 통한 소통과 만남이란 주제로 새로운 문화 행사로서의 차별화된 이벤트를 선보였습니다. 기존의 국내 아트페어와는 달리 국내외 탑 갤러리로 구성된 참여 갤러리들이 각각의 공간에서 기획력이 돋보이는 부스전시를 구성함으로써 전시장을 찾은 관람객들에게 엄선된 작품들을 선보였으며, 미술 강연을 비롯한 클래식 콘서트와 Wine Maker’s Dinner 등 다양한 문화 컨텐츠를 제공하여 전시장을 찾은 방문객들의 만족도를 높였습니다.

제2회 galleryseoul12는 galleryseoul11의 성공을 바탕으로, 4월 20일부터 23일까지 4개국 22개 주요 갤러리가 참가하여 더욱 수준 높은 작품을 선보일 예정입니다. 참가 갤러리들은 컨셉이 뚜렷한 각자의 부스공간에서 현대 미술사의 흐름에서 주요한 위치를 가진 작가의 작품을 포함하여 기존의 아트마켓에서 쉽게 볼 수 없었던 신작들을 소개합니다. 컨템포러리 아트와 더불어, 다양해지는 미술애호가들의 요구를 반영하고자 국내외 근현대 마스터피스와 하이엔드 디자인 가구들을 전시하는 섹션이 galleryseoul12에 새롭게 마련됩니다. 다양한 미술행사 및 채러티 행사와 함께, Collectors Gathering, Wine Maker’s Dinner와 같이 기존의 아트페어서는 경험할 수 없었던 독특한 VIP 프로그램과 서비스가 제공됩니다. 시대를 아우르는 작품에서 생활미술(Applied Art)까지, 시각 예술의 종합적 형태를 지향하는 galleryseoul은 2012년도 행사를 통해 프리미엄 아트페어로서 galleryseoul의 본연의 모습과 위상을 확고히 하고자 합니다.

galleryseoul is South Korea’s first premium arts fair designed for top local and overseas galleries and VVIPs. This arts fair presents combined supplementary programs of fine arts, music, wine, and lectures—making it culture events. The premium art fair galleryseoul11 was hosted jointly by the global and luxury lifestyle group Quintessentially, the JoongAng Ilbo, and the Raum, showing select works to VVIPs under the theme of communication and encounter. galleryseoul11 featured top local and overseas galleries, as well as select works to viewers. It also presented lectures on arts, classic concerts, and diverse VVIPs culture programs such as the Wine Maker’s Dinner, enhancing visitor satisfaction.

With the backing of the successful hosting of galleryseoul11, the second edition of galleryseoul12, opening from 20 – 23 April, will attract 22 galleries from 4 nations and feature strictly selective works. Participating galleries will introduce artists who take an important place in the flow of modern arts history and present new works which are yet to be unveiled in the markets. Together with contemporary art, galleryseouol12 will also feature local and foreign masterpieces and furniture items with high-end designs worth owning to meet art fans’ diverse needs. As well as a variety of art programs, exclusive VIPs programs such as Collectors Gathering, Wine Maker’s Dinner are prepared for galleryseoul VIPs. galleryseoul, which showcases works from a wide range of times, Applied Art, and comprehensive visual genres, pledges to enhance its artistic profile through the 2012 premium art fair.
